Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how wrkout (“we”, “our”, or “us”) handles information when you use the wrkout mobile application and related services.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly in the app, including:

• Workout data you create (for example sets, reps, weights, schedule preferences, and related notes).
• App settings and preferences.

Depending on features you enable, we may also process:

• Subscription and purchase status provided by Apple.
• Apple Health data that you explicitly authorise (workout history, activity data).
• iCloud/CloudKit records needed for sync and social sharing features.
• Calendar data, to add your gym schedule to your device calendar.
• Your photo library (write-only), to save monthly workout summary cards you choose to export.

2. How We Use Information

We use information to:

• Provide core app functionality including workout logging and scheduling.
• Sync your data across your devices when enabled.
• Share activity with friends you connect with in the app.
• Restore purchases and manage subscriptions.
• Improve app reliability and performance.

3. Apple Health Data

If you grant Apple Health permissions, wrkout reads your workout history to display it alongside your logged data, and writes new workouts so they appear in the Health app and contribute to your activity rings.

We do not use Apple Health data for advertising or data broker activities.

4. Social and Sharing Features

If you use the friends and social features:

• Your workout activity (exercises completed, dates, and counts) may be visible to friends you connect with.
• This data is stored in your iCloud/CloudKit container and shared only with users you explicitly follow or who follow you.
• You can stop sharing at any time by removing connections in the app.
• Shared workout data is deleted from others’ views when you remove a connection.

5. Data Storage and Retention

• Local data is stored on your device.
• If iCloud sync is enabled, data is stored in your personal iCloud/CloudKit container.
• Social activity shared with friends is stored in CloudKit and retained while the connection exists.
• We retain data while needed to provide the service, unless you delete it or request deletion where applicable.

6. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information.

We only share data with the Apple platform services required to run the app (App Store, iCloud/CloudKit, HealthKit, and calendar). No data is shared with third-party advertisers or analytics providers.

7. Your Choices

You can:

• Disable optional integrations (for example Apple Health, calendar sync, or iCloud sync) in app settings or iOS Settings.
• Delete app data by removing data in-app or uninstalling the app.
• Remove social connections and stop activity sharing in the Friends section.
• Manage subscriptions through your Apple Account subscription settings.

8. Children’s Privacy

wrkout is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. International Processing

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, depending on the Apple services you use.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updated versions will be made available in-app and at https://getwrkout.com/privacy.
